Bremswegabstand - braking distance

    Hello,
    what is the meaning of the "Bremswegabstand" - "braking distance" column in the properties tab of a route file in Loksim Editor?

    This defines the standard braking distance (i.e. the spacing between distant and main signals) for the following strech of route. The percentage is a threshold for the reduced braking distance. Values of 1000 m and 5% for example would mean that 1000 m is the normal distance and distances lower than 950 m (= 1000 m - 5%) are regarded as reduced distance.
    But I have no idea what effect this option has, too.

    I see however, that as of today no one posted a reply so it still remains a mistery (same is for my other observation about sampling rate of sounds and speed).
